Birko Corporation (www.birkocorp.com) were requested JBS Swift to provide a sanitation solution for the cleaning and sanitation of Tallow Railcars.
Typical of many older style processes, the old system simply sparged steam into a tank and this water was then pumped to the railcar for washing.
Birko designed, built and commissioned an on-site a skidded package including an Emech 2” F5 steam/water mixer capable of delivering instantaneous hot water, at the required temperature on demand.
The clever system incorporated controls, isolation valves, storage/buffer tank, pump, spray ball system and chemical dispensing system.
The customer benefits include reduced energy consumption through the removal of the in-efficient sparging system, combined with the improved efficacy of spray-ball and chemical dispensing technologies that clean thoroughly, ensuring zero batch cross contamination occurs due to improved sanitation practice. |
