INTERNAL SALES ENGINEER
The Role
The role is for an internal sales engineer in our Auckland Head Office.
It has 4 main responsibilities.
Internal sales
- Answering general enquires
- Preparing and following up sales quotes
- Maintaining sales documentation and CRM records
Engineering duties
- Providing valve sizing reports and product recommendations
- Trouble shooting and technical support for customers
- Designing circuit layouts and sizing components such as pumps and heat exchangers
- As appropriate, overseeing site installations and package skid builds
- Handling warranty claims and customer concerns
Financial duties
- Updating Sales projections
- Preparing order and shipping documentation
- Dealing with suppliers and obtain pricing as required
Other Duties
- Site sales and technical visits
- Some hands on engineering activities when required
- Providing assistance to the design team as required
- Providing assistance to the sales force as required.

The Candidate
Because the role is very much stand alone and the person needs to be self motivated, reliable and to be able to manage their own work schedule.
A cheerful personality, a positive and can do attitude as we are competing against large international firms and we need a team player who can get on with people from different cultures as well as their own colleagues.
A mechanical or electrical qualification is required. Preference will be given to someone with;
- A trade background
- Heat exchanger experience
- Steam experience
- Control valve knowledge
- Plant automation knowledge
- Utilities and water treatment knowledge
- Due to the variety of work we appreciate that the candidate will need to have extensive training and as such the most important thing above any qualification is the willingness to learn and carry on learning. - A willingness to develop a sound commercial knowledge on how to conduct business internationally
