Emech Control Limited have identified applications in wine
making where accurate yeast temperature control is required.
Industry Requirement
Specific temperature control is required for the regulation
of yeast activity. Yeast tanks require the introduction of
hot water into the heating bands at a specific temperature
to start the yeast process.
Once this process is activated, the yeast activity produces
its own heat, and the introduction of cold water in the heating
bands is required to control this process. Industry Solution
An Emech 3 port valve can be programmed to provide variable
flow from the hot inlet only or variable flow from the cold
inlet to the heating bands.
In the neutral band area (ie. Between cold and hot ports)
– a bubble tight shut off is achieved by the ceramic
disc. This technology was not available with traditional three
port control valves systems but is now possible.
At the return side of the tanks, the Emech actuator software
can signal the return of the water to either heating or cooling
tanks thus saving water and heating costs.
The advantage with this system is that it is easy to install,
fully automatic, programmable, highly accurate and offers
savings in both energy and water costs. |
