Emech Control is a fluid control company specialising in the design
and manufacture of precision control valves . Based on patented
ceramic disc valve and electronic actuator technology – Emech
systems are now providing process improvements and cost reductions
to manufacturing industries.
Background
Developed in the 1990's by Peter Jeromson and Brad Houghton, the Emech system was first awarded the “Best Control Valve" by the New Zealand Institute of Measurement and Control and in 2004 won the Frost & Sullivan Process Control Award USA and the Westpac New Zealand Hi-Tech Award. This technology is now used in commercial environments.

The Design
Emech Control's patented designs set new standards in fluid control - whether it be the critical control of boiler water in heat exchanger applications using the 2 port ceramic valve system, the critical mixing of water using the 3 port ceramic valve system, or the newly launched steam and water mixer.
Applications
Emech technology has been installed and proven in the following
industries:
 |
Tanneries: Provide high-volume water at critical water temperatures during the wet-blue process in the tanning industry. |
 |
Abbatoir / Meat Processing:
Providing temperature controlled water for sterilisation, washdown
and handwash as dictated by regulatory bodies, and the supply
of critical water temperature in pelt processing. |
 |
Dairy Industry: Providing
critical heat exchanger control in the milk pasteurisation process
as dictated by regulatory bodies. |
 |
Winemaking / Brewing Industry:
Providing critical heated or cooled water to yeast control tanks
for winemaking, or water mixing for mash processing. |
 |
Pharmaceutical Industry:
Providing supplies of de-ionisied water at critical temperatures
for the production of detergent and pharmaceutical products.
The Emech system can supply rapid 2-3 second mixing of water
to temperatures specified to within +/- 0.5º. |
